Key Activities:
Research and Framework Development for AI Readiness in Higher Education
This activity provides the conceptual foundation of the ADROIT project by analysing current practices, challenges and needs related to artificial intelligence in higher education. Through desk research, partner consultations and comparative analysis, the project examines pedagogical, ethical and organisational implications of AI adoption. The main outcome is the development of a structured AI readiness framework that defines key competence areas, pedagogical principles and ethical guidelines. This framework synthesises research evidence with institutional insights, ensuring a shared understanding across partners and guiding the coherent development of training activities, educational modules and digital resources.
Capacity-Building Activities for Higher Education Educators
This activity focuses on strengthening educators’ digital and pedagogical competences related to artificial intelligence. Through structured capacity-building actions, educators explore AI-related tools and reflect on their pedagogical potential within higher education contexts. Interactive workshops, collaborative exercises and applied learning scenarios address topics such as AI-supported teaching, assessment practices, academic integrity and learner engagement. Emphasis is placed on reflective and ethical use rather than technical mastery alone. Peer learning and transnational exchange enable participants to share experiences across institutional contexts, supporting professional confidence and adaptability in evolving digital learning environments.
Development of Learner-Centred Educational Modules
This activity centres on the design of learner-centred educational modules that promote critical digital and AI literacy in higher education. The modules address key themes such as understanding AI systems, evaluating digital information, recognising ethical implications and applying digital tools responsibly. Combining theoretical input with practical activities, case studies and collaborative tasks, the modules encourage active learning and critical thinking. Designed to be adaptable across disciplines and learning contexts, they emphasise learner agency and reflection. This activity supports the development of informed, responsible graduates capable of navigating AI-enhanced academic and professional environments.
Piloting, Testing and Quality Assurance of Educational Resources
Piloting and testing activities ensure the relevance, effectiveness and quality of ADROIT’s educational resources. Developed modules and training materials are implemented in real higher education settings and evaluated through structured feedback from educators and learners. This feedback informs assessments of usability, clarity and pedagogical impact. Quality assurance is embedded throughout the process, with partners collaboratively analysing results and refining content and methodologies. This iterative approach strengthens the robustness, credibility and transferability of project outputs, supporting their long-term adoption across diverse institutional and national contexts.
Dissemination, Communication and European Knowledge Exchange
This activity aims to maximise the visibility, uptake and long-term impact of ADROIT’s results. A structured dissemination strategy targets educators, institutional leaders, learners and stakeholders at national and European levels. Digital channels, project publications and engagement activities are used to share outcomes and promote dialogue. European knowledge exchange is supported through transnational meetings, collaborative events and open access to resources. By sharing good practices and lessons learned, this activity contributes to broader discussions on AI and digital transformation in higher education and ensures sustainability beyond the project’s duration.
